Lock Upp’s Nisha Rawal On Her Split From Karan Mehra: ‘I Wanted To Lock Myself Behind A Door, Was Even Looking For A Job At Mcdonald's'
Actress Nisha Rawal, who will be seen in Kangana Ranaut hosted Lock Upp as a contestant, has opened up about trolls attacking her after she filed a domestic violence case against her estranged husband Karan Mehra. In a recent interview, she poured out her heart and stated she felt miserable when a certain section of people mercilessly trolled her for saying that "she is ready to work even at Mcdonald’s to raise her son." Last year, Nisha had filed a domestic violence case against Karan Mehra and accused him of alleged domestic violence and having an extramarital affair.

While speaking to Etimes TV, the actress revealed that after she filed the domestic violence case, she received hate from several netizens. Nisha was quoted as saying, “During the press conference I had said that I was even looking for a job at Mcdonald's and I remember out of the many trolls that I got this is one of them. As a mother I have insecurities and everyone who has been a mom will understand the struggles of a mother. The first most was financial security for my child.”

She added, “I was vulnerable and I was taking and showing my vulnerabilities. That day there was a mother who was scared and was in pain, anguish and confused why life had to do this to her. That day I wanted to just lock myself behind a door and stay there forever but I came out and spoke. That requires courage and I am proud of it.”

The actress also mentioned that financial security is one of the reasons why she decided to participate in Ranaut’s controversial reality show Lock Upp, which is backed by Ekta Kapoor.  Nisha was announced as the first confirmed contestant of the show, followed by other contestants, Stand-Up comedian Munawar Faruqui, Poonam Pandey, Babita Phogat, and Karanvir Bohra.
